Listen To A Whitney Houston Mash-Up
Mon Feb 20 2012 by Becky Bain
To honor the music and the memory of Whitney Houston, mash-up artist Norwegian Recycling created a mash-up of Houston's singles "How Will I Know", "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)", and "So Emotional". The trio of Whitney's hits are also accompanied by Florence + The Machine's "You Got The Love", Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain" and Bruno Mars' "Grenade". The result is more of a sweeping epic than a dancefloor-ready celebration (listen to this awesome Whitney/Robyn mash-up for a beat to groove to), but you'll get so emotional listening to it anyway. Santigold Unveils New Single “Disparate Youth”
Mon Feb 20 2012 by Becky Bain
Last we heard from Santigold, the electro artist was channeling M.I.A. and throwing shade at Lady Gaga and Katy Perry in her crudely-animated "Big Mouth" video. Today comes the much more harmonious (both musically and thematically) "Disparate Youth", the lead single from her sophomore album Master of My Make-Believe. The single will hit iTunes on Tuesday, and you'll be able to hear it performed live when Santigold — along with Sleigh Bells and Little Dragon — open for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers on tour beginning March 29. Mon Feb 20 2012 by Robbie Daw
Madonna fans aching for a new visual from the chart-conquering Material Girl can breathe easily knowing another video is on the way. A clip of "Girls Gone Wild" was first previewed in a MDNA megamix that hit the Internet two weeks ago. Guess Madonna's not too worried about Joe Francis getting sue-happy again once the single and video are released?
